Dave Yelovich has been an outstanding volunteer and instructor for the Greater Houston Builders Association for decades.  He gives of his time and expertise to help grow the homebuilding community.  His insight on code-related issues and leadership as a member of the Texas Board of Plumbing Examiners has moved the needle for practical solutions to complex issues facing the industry.  

Dave Yelovich is a wealth of knowledge that was instrumental in my development of residential construction practices. From basic understanding of material installation to the complexities of the building science behind the materials used - Dave Y was able to pass the knowledge along. He made me think of the "why and how" every time I stepped on site. Dave knows the good, bad, and the ugly of residential construction but only teaches the good. Once you have learned "the good" you are easily able to pinpoint "the bad" once you come across it. Homes Built Right is the best investment for educational purposes for all levels from rudimentary to intricate learning.

I have known Dave for a little over 2 years now through working at “XYZ Builders” where he was the Director of Quality Assurance and Training. He built up our in-house inspections with his vast knowledge and experience in the home building industry. These inspections were incredibly thorough and helped us eliminate many mistakes and potential problems down the line. He would also teach 4-hour classes for us builders on a monthly basis on how to improve our skills, grow our knowledge, and develop our eye for detail. Looking back I am very grateful to have worked alongside him and for the knowledge I gained through him. 

Now I work for a custom builder and to this day I still reach out for advice on problems that I encounter in the field, which he has always has an answer for. 

Dave now teaches classes at the local builders association where I regularly attend classes because of the knowledge I gain from them and would highly recommend any who wants to learn to go to these classes. Whether you have 20 plus years in the industry or are just starting out, you definitely have something to gain by attending and working with Dave!

Dave has been phenomenal to work with for education needs for the Greater Houston Builders Association. He's not only knowledgeable about multiple aspects of the home building industry, but he is extremely personable as well.
